 Man, we were kind of excited to invite all our friends over to play We Dare and spank/sleep with their girlfriends and wives, but now that the European game rating agency PEGI has slapped a 12 years and up rating on the game, why bother? The rationale behind the kid-friendly label is that you don't have to let the game lead to an IRL orgy, as the title's ridiculous trailer suggets. I guess you could just high five and pat each other on the back instead of licking whipped cream off the Wiimote and sucking your friend's toes on a Wii Fit board or whatever.  Britney Spears' new single, "Till the World Ends," sounds poised to be a club smash. The Ke$ha-written, Dr. Luke/Max Martin-produced track was posted by Perez Hilton on Thursday afternoon (March 3), after speculation earlier in the day that the song would hit radio next week."Till the World Ends" is a swirling, "beat the beat" track, ready for late nights spent "dancing till the world ends" as she sings on the fast-paced party jam. "This kitten got your tongue tied in knots I see/ Spit it out 'cause I'm dying for company," a confident Spears purrs. As the song slows for a moment — during a break before she moves her way to the chorus — she sings, "I can't take it take it take no more/ Never felt like felt like this before/ Come on get me get me on the floor/ DJ, what you what you waiting for?" she teases. The beat chugs in the background as synths play with Spears' sex-kitten delivery of lines like "Watch me move/ When I lose, when I lose it hard/ Get you off with a touch/ Dancing in the dark. "See the sunlight/ We ain't stopping/ Keep on dancing till the world ends/ If you feel it/ Let it happen/ Keep on dancing till the world ends," she sings as the song breaks down, fading out for a brief moment (revealing her signature breathiness), and then coming back in as she repeats those final lines again to close the song. Ke$ha recently dished about the track to Spin.com, noting that it is about the power of an artist performing a great gig. "That song is me imagining her and any female musician touring the world," she said. "You know, when you go out, and you're having an amazing, magical night and you don't want to go to sleep and you want it to last until the world ends." "Till the World Ends" is the second single from Femme Fatale, set to drop March 29. Its lead single, "Hold It Against Me," was an equally club-friendly jam by Luke and Martin, who are overseeing production on the album.  Fennville star basketball player Wes Leonard collapsed and died Thursday night after he helped his team complete a perfect regular season.The 16-year-old scored the game-winning basket in a 57-55 overtime win over Bridgman at Fennville High School that improved the Blackhawks' record to 20-0. Leonard fell to the court moments after fans rushed the court following the dramatic victory for the sixth-ranked team in Class C. He was attended to on the court before an ambulance took him to Holland Hospital, where he died at 10:40 p.m, Holland Hospital spokesman Tim Breed said. "All efforts were made after he arrived to help restart his heart, but unfortunately those efforts were not successful," Breed said. "There likely will be an autopsy conducted to determine the actual cause of death. "Clearly, we offer our condolences to Wes' family and friends." Moments before he collapsed, his teammates had given him a celebratory hoist into the air before a team huddle. "Obviously, in the midst of celebration, I think shocking is exactly the word," Fennville Superintendent Dirk Weeldreyer said before Leonard's ambulance left the high school. "And certainly our deepest prayers are with Wes and his family, and obviously his health is far more important than any game." Leonard is a multi-sport athlete who recently passed the 1,000-point mark in career scoring for Fennville basketball and earned honorable-mention all-state honors in football last fall. He quarterbacked the Blackhawks to the second round of the Division 6 playoffs before they lost to two-time state champion Montague. "It's tough to take in," said Leonard's teammate Shane Bale, who stood near the gym's exit doors with a group of others as the ambulance with Leonard remained outside. "It's like somebody from your family, you know?" In an interview with The Sentinel at Tuesday's practice, Klingler talked about how Leonard had a great drive to succeed and that he saw the "bigger picture." "That's what makes him a little different. He takes care of his body better than probably anybody I've ever coached," Klingler said Tuesday. "Spends a lot of time on his own in the weight room.  Bestbuy has pulled the old Apple iPad from its inventory in the USA and is making room for the new iPad 2 which is set to drop on March 11. So not only will you be able to buy this device at any Apple Store, but you have other options if you do not want to rub shoulders with the self-assured boys at the Genius Bar! If you do not want to run the risk of losing out on the first day, you may have to hit the stores, because Bestbuy will not be doing online ordering for this until March 11 2011. So it looks like those 2 places will be your best bet to land yourself a spiffy new iPad, although rumors swirl that Target, Kohl, Bed Bath and Beyond and Wallmart will get in on the action too. If anything the original iPad really laid down the distribution chain and the iPad 2 will capitalize on the existing partnerships. [goodereader]  |

 Here's something to ponder: According to an 88-page report about the future of tablets by RBC analyst Mike Abramsky, only 0.3% of this planet's inhabitants had tablets by the end of 2010. The other 99.7% didn't seem to care about purchasing one of those gadgets. To put that in perspective, the chart above compares "the tiny smartphone and tablet user base (394 million worldwide) versus other markets—such as TV subscriptions (600 million), total PCs (1.3 billion), and mobile subscribers (5.1 billion)." You see, a research firm called Barracuda Labs puts out an annual security report in which it rounds up the search terms which are most prone to leading you to websites full of malware and viruses. There aren't details on just how the percentages are determined, but I suppose we should be relieved that Costco is less dangerous than a girl from the Jersey Shore when it comes to computer health.
